Globe valve has swivel plug as closure member which moves along the central line of seat. The stem travel is relevantly short so as to cut off the flow reliably. By this mode of disc travel, the seat opening varies in direct proportion to the travel of disc which is ideally suited for duties involving regulation of flow rate . It is used in petrol and chemical refinery and power generation serving the purpose of connection and on-and-off duties
Features
1.Design standard: BS1873 & ASME B16.34
2.During the operation, the friction between disc and seat is smaller than gate valve. Opening height is 1/4 of seat port diameter less than gate valve. Only one set of seating face between body and disc so processing and maintenance is easy.
3.The normal flow direction is from the bottom of valve while flow direction is from the top of valve for pressure seal valve.
4.Back seat feature
5.The valve stem sealing is realized by the collaboration of flexible and woven graphite. ensuring a more reliable tightness.
6.Optional pressure seal bonnet type.
7.Optional jacketed type.
