The 3M Particle Protection Mask 8835 meets the requirements of the European Standard EN 149:2001 + A1:2009, Respiratory protective devices - Filtering half masks for protection against particles It provides effective respiratory protection in areas where workers are exposed to solid (dust) and/or non-volatile liquid particles.
Respiratory protection is only effective if it is correctly selected, adjusted and worn during the entire stay in the danger zone.
Standards
The products are classified according to their filter efficiency and total inward leakage (FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3), their reusability and the dolomite dust test.
The tests of the standard include filter penetration, bearing test, flammability, breathing resistance and total inward leakage. Reusable products are additionally subjected to the dolomite dust test (optional for non-reusable products) with regard to cleanability, shelf life and obligations. A complete copy of EN 149:2001+A1:2009 can be obtained from Beuth-Verlag.
