Victoza contains the active substance Liraglutide, which helps your body reduce your blood sugar level only when blood sugar is too high. Victoza Injection also slows food passage through your stomach.

Victoza is used with other medicines for diabetes when they are not enough to control your blood sugar levels. These may include: oral antidiabetics (such as Metformin, Pioglitazone, Sulfonylurea medicines) and/or a basal insulin, a type of insulin which works all day.
