3-19mm Tempered Flat Glass

3-19mm Tempered Flat Glass is heated to near the softening temperature through rapid and uniform cooling so that compressive stress is formed on the surface of glass. In the cooling process the external is solidified because of the rapid cooling compressive stress and internal tensile stress are formed on the surface while the internal is cooling and shrinking slowly which improves strength and thermal stability of glass.

Properties:
High intensity: The flexural strength of tempered glass is 3 to 5 times of ordinary annealed glass; The shock strength of tempered glass is 5-8 times of ordinary annealed glass.
Wind pressure resistance: The wind pressure resistance of tempered glass is the most powerful which is 1.5 to 3 times of ordinary annealed glass.

Safety: Tempered glass forms crushing stress through the quench so that the compressive stress is increased. Thereby it is not easy to be broken by shocks. Even though it is broken by crushing load the debris are of obtuse angle and almost do not harm the human body.
