The kind of material, the amount of moisture present, and the overall resistance that the plunger has to resist in order to move the material through the bale chamber all have an impact on the density of the resulting bale. When baling hay, one of the challenges that might arise is a shift in the bale density due to variations in the moisture content of the hay that can occur from one area of the field to another or over the course of time.

At the exit of the baling chamber, there is a set of density adjustment screws that may be used to control the density of the compressed bales. At two different points along the length of the bale, the wire is positioned such that it crisscrosses the perimeter. As a result, the machine has two wire twisters in addition to needles and wire-cutting discs. A clutch is what makes the binding mechanism work. This clutch is activated by a clutch lever, which in turn is pushed by a cam that is positioned on a metering wheel that has a notch in it. The baler for straw may also be used to compress hay into bales. The baler, which is also known as a packing machine, is a piece of machinery that gathers up loose hay or straw, compresses it into bales of an equal size and weight, binds the bundles using twines or wires, and then discharges the finished bale from the rear of the baler onto the ground.
