Telephone voice recorders

Voice loggers record telephone conversations. Different types can be used for analogue phone lines and digital phone lines. Conversations on multiple telephone lines can be recorded simultaneously by a voice logger machine. This is useful for organisations who take orders on phone, like the stock market traders. The voice recording becomes a record for future reference in case of disputes.

Interactive voice response systems

Interactive Voice response (IVR) systems are used in tele-banking etc. When you call an IVR, you get the message "PRESS ONE for current accounts, TWO for saving accounts...". A voice guided menu is used to lead the caller to various sources of information pre-recorded in a computer.
