Product Overview
Key Features
Situated at Howrah, West Bengal, India, we are affianced in rendering Quenching Services. These services are highly demanded in metal industry to improve the mechanical properties, hardness and toughness of the alloy material. We heat the workpiece at very high temperature to change its grain structure from ferrite to austenite. After that, we cool down the workpiece in order to transform it into another shape which called martensite. Additionally, the offered Quenching Services can be availed from us at reasonable prices.
Features:
- Applauded for zero damage of job piece
- Offered services are executed by our experienced professionals
- Enhances the mechanical properties of materials
Quenching Services
We are one of the service provider of Sorborising Services. Our services include forging, annealing and hardening. These services are rendered by our expert team of professionals using latest methodology. We offer these services at reasonable prices to our clients.
Soaking temperature 30-50A C above A3 or A1, then fast cooling (in water or oil) with cooling rate exceeding a critical value. The critical cooling rate is required to obtain non-equilibrium structure called martensite. During fast cooling austenite cannot transform to ferrite and pearlite by atomic diffusion. Martensite is supersaturated solid solution of carbon in I -iron (greatly supersaturated ferrite) with tetragonal body centered structure. Martensite is very hard and brittle. Martensite has a a needle-likea structure. Kinetics of martensite transformation is presented by TTT diagrams (Time-Temperature-Transformation). With the quenching-hardening process the speed of quenching can affect the amount of marteniste formed. This severe cooling rate will be affected by the component size and quenching medium type (water, oil). The critical cooling rate is the slowest speed of quenching that will ensure maximum hardness (full martensitic structure).
