It is an economical, cement based waterproofing system. It provides a deep seal penetration and permanent protection against fresh and salt water under pressure.

HOW SAVE- IT 210 WORKS

SAVE- IT 210 penetrates into the pores of the concrete by capillary action and is channelled to the lower depth of the substrate by the moisture present, even into smallest pores and capillaries.

The alkali silicates combine with the water and free calcium particles, forming crystals. This is known as the crystallization process. Once the crystals are formed, they remain permanent. Thus the lower depths of the concrete form an integral mass with the surface, which cannot be blown off by hydrostatic pressure.

Instructions for Use

Surface Preparation

Concrete, mortar and masonry surface must be clean, free from grease, oil and loosely adhering particles. Steel and iron surfaces must be free from scale, rust, grease and oil. The surface must be as true and flat as possible. Saturate absorbent surface thoroughly. Efficient surface preparation is essential to achieve high adhesive quality of the product.

Mixing

For application as a slurry - SAVE- IT 210 requires approx. 8-9 litres of clean water to a 25 kg bag of material. Mix only as much material as can be used in 20 minutes and stir mixing frequently. If mixture starts to set do not add more water, simply remix to restore workability.

Apply SAVE- IT 210 in one or two coats according to specifications by masonry brush. When two coats are specified apply the second coat whilst the first is still A AcAca A A A greenA AcAca A Aca Ac.

Dry shake (for horizontal surfaces only)

The specified quantity of SAVE- IT 210 will be distributed in powder form through a sieve and trowelled into the freshly placed concrete once it has reached initial set.

Coverage

Under normal areas two coats of SAVE- IT 210 at 0.75 kg/ sqmt., brush or spray applied. For water retaining structures and internal concrete wall surfaces, two coats of SAVE- IT 210, the first at 0.75 kg/sqmt. and second at 1.0 kg/ sqmt.
