There are several requirements for authenticating documents for use in Non-Hague countries. Only certain documents require authentication. The most important requirement is having the document (and its English translation, if appropriate) notarized. If possible, you should have this done in the issuing county. Some states may also require Notarization of document from there state as well as others.
