The inverted WTC-8500 was designed for applications in life science with its completely new Fluorescence. It is useful in observing thick samples and specimens that typically settle on the bottom of observation dishes. Phase contrast and fluorescence are other viewing techniques used with WTC-8500 in the biological sciences for the study of living cells, tissue cultures, and parasitic organisms.
