Properties:
MBT is bitter, non-toxic pale yellow or off-white powder, specific gravity 1.42-1.52, freely soluble in ethyl acetate, acetone, dilute solution of sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate, soluble in alcohol, poorly soluble in Benzene and insoluble in water and gasoline.

Usage:
MBT can be used as the copper corrosion inhibitor in circulating cool water system. The copper equipment is well protected by the chemical absorption between MBT and copper atoms or copper ions on copper surface, or a compact and firm membrane formed by chelation reaction between them. The dosage of 4mg/L is preferred.
