Vacuum Casting System

This new electronically controlled Vacuum Casting System provides a simple method of producing plastic & wax prototypes without the need for an expensive steel tool. Starting with a pattern produced by rapid prototyping system or conventional methods, a soft tool is created. Using this tool, functional prototypes in polyurethane plastic parts can be produced within a few hours.

A silicone or wax mould is made based on a master model, which has been built with one of the new generative technologies or in a conventional way. Then the silicon mould is filled with a two-part polyurethane resin or wax under vacuum.

Up to 50 functional prototypes can easily be made without complicated and expensive steel moulds. The parts cannot be distinguished from conventionally made serial plastic parts. The check of a fit, from and functiona can be done very quickly.
