The surface winders operates up to 25 ft/min handling roll diameters up to 40 and 3000 lbs and are offered with heavy duty motor, in-line gear box and a set of steel and rubber nip rollers. Rolls are changed automatically at a set length where the rolls are cut by a fly cutter and unloaded with the use of hydraulic arm. These are a constant winding pressure achieved by the horizontal movement of the carriage. The surface winders are also grouped in face-to-face, back-to-back, or two-stage arrangements for sheeting.
