SENSOR LIGHTS & SWITCHES

Many times lights and other electrical equipments remain switched ON when not required, and there is a wastage of electric power. For example lights in toilets, lifts, passages, stores, etc are continuously switched ON but most of the time, there is no person around.

Sensor switches help us to prevent such wastage and generate saving in power bills. Sensor switches have electronic sensors. For example, a PIR sensor helps in detecting if a person is around or not. Similarly an ambient light sensor will help in checking the level of ambient light.

Using switches with both these sensors, the lights switch ON automatically only when ambient light is low and some person is around. If ambient light is high or no person is around, they automatically switch OFF, thus saving power.
