COMPOSITION:

Each ampoule contains lyophilized preparation of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin I.P.
1000, 2000, 5000 & 10000 I.U.

INDICATIONS:

In
Females: To induce ovulation, Primary/ Secondary Amenorrhora, Habitual/
Recurrent abortions, To maitain luteal function.

In Males: Oligospermia, Asthenosperimia,
Hypogonadotropoc Hypogonadism, Cryptorchidism

ACTIONS:

The action of PUBERGEN
(hCG) is virtually identical to that of pituitary LH, although hCG appears
to have a small degree of FSH activity as well.

DOSAGE:

Females: To
induce ovulation : 5000-10000 I.U. one injection on 12th day of menstural
cycle, or when the graafian follicle attains a size >18mm.

Habitual / Recurrent
Abortions : Once pregnancy is confirmed, inject 5000 I.U. of PUBERGEN
per day on three alternate days. From the 9th day of the first injection,
2000 I.U. twice a week, till the 14th week of pregnancy.

Males:
5000 I.U. twice weekly, for 12 weeks & may have to be continued even
upto to 1 year to improve semen quality.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Precocious puberty, prostatic
carcinoma, or other androgen dependent neoplasia, prior allergic reaction
to chorionic gonadotrophin.

PRECAUTIONS:

hCG should be used by
Physicians familiar with infertility problems. The principle reactions
during the use are : Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, Ovarian enlargement,
multiple births.

Induction of Androgen
secretion by chorionic gonadotrophin may induce precocious puberty in
patient with Cryptorchidism.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:

Headache, irritability,
edema, restlessness, depression, tiredness, precocious puberty, gynaecomastia
& pain at the site of injection.

STORAGE:

To
be stored under refrigeration between 8⁰C to 20⁰C. Do not freeze.

PUBERGEN 1000 I.U. :
Box containing 1 ampoule of hCG & 1 ampoule solvent.

PUBERGEN 2000 I.U. : Box containing 1 ampoule of hCG & 1 ampoule
solvent.

PUBERGEN 5000 I.U. : Box containing 1 ampoule of hCG & 1 ampoule
solvent.

PUBERGEN 10000 I.U. : Box containing 1 ampoule of hCG & 1 ampoule
solvent.
