Filtaration

We provide advanced filtration services for effective treatment of water. These are known to remove contamination like dirt, turbidity, iron, odour & chlorinated compounds. Following filtration procedures are offered:

* Pressure Sand Filter: This is among the most conventional filtration methods available and is used extensively. Filtering media in these filters is fine sand (16/32 mesh) which is normally supported on a bed of graded pebbles. If strainers are used to replace the under bed, a 100mm layer of crushed fine silex is provided so that the fine sand does not log the strainer buttons.


* Dual Media Filter: Filtration using dual media filters is better than pressure sand filtration method. The pressure sand filters have limited dirt removal capacity as the finest sand forms the topmost layer and as such most of the turbidity is deposited on the top surface resulting in cake formation. In case of dual media filter a 300mm layer of coarse anthracite is provided on top of 300mm of fine sand. There are two benefits of providing the coarse anthracite layer:
