High precision, economic production, multi-grinding methods, compact machine design and automatic handling are the dominating features of the Oerlikon B 27, which was specially designed for the grinding of HSS and carbide bar blades (Oerlikon FS, FN, FSS, ARCON, SPIRON; RSR, TRI-ACAR and also PENTACAR) for the cutting of spiral and hypoid gears of all systems.

The machine design, well thoughtout and laid out for robustness, guarantees the highest accuracy in profiling precision and repeatability and simultaneously the shortest processing times. The machine can operate under the profile grinding method with a sintered Al-Oxide wheel as well as under the generating method with a CBN (for HSS) or diamond (for carbide) dual wheels.
