The Oerlikon BC 10 stick blade measuring device is designed to measure cutter head stick blades that are used for cutting spiral bevel and hypoid gears.
Measuring the stick blades allows the quality control loop between blade grinding machine and ground blade to be closed simply and efficiently. The standard basic version allows you to record the position and shape of the main and secondary cutting edges via a scanning procedure. From this, it is possible to determine the quality of the ground surfaces and any necessary corrections to the blade grinding machine.
