The Klingelnberg spiral bevel gear machines are an important constituent of this production process. Their concept is, amongst other things, designed for the modern production technology of dry processing without the use of cooling lubricants.
The Oerlikon C 27 forms the basis for the C 15, which has a range of application designed for smaller gear sizes. The machine is equipped with direct drives for the workpiece and tool spindles.
The C 15 sets new standards with the high speeds of its workpiece and cutter head spindles. With a tool spindle speed of 2000 revolutions per minute, it is the first spiral bevel gear hobbing machine to enable cutting speeds of over 300 m/min with a 2 cutter head.
