By definition Automatic Batching System provides pre-programmed feeding, weighing & discharging of 2 or more materials in sequence for formulation of product. Before this automation industries used to weigh manually on weighing scales and dumped the material into mixers. This method used to take more time, was less accurate, required more man power, gave inconsistent quality, no management information was available & increased batching time which resulted in poor production. To avoid this most of the industries are modernizing their plants for increasing productivity and for Optimum utilization of Resources

In an automation system, operator can program microprocessor based controller (i.e. MBC V) for required number of batches, recipes, material tolerances, batch time etc. After programming operator will give 'RUN' command to MBC V controller, then controller will take complete charge of system. It starts feeding ingredients one by one in 'COARSE' & 'FINE' feeding modes. After completing one batch, if downstream equipments are ready then weighed ingredients will be discharged. Now, next batch begins as per the above and continues the above operation in auto mode till required batches are over. It is an economic Batching & Weighing System.
