* The speed/motion of rotating/moving object is sensed by non-contact type sensor
* The probe is installed with its face in close vicinity of rotating pulley/drum on which small metallic flags are fixed
* As flags pass across face of probe, pulses are generated
* These pulses are fed to control unit, where they are correlated with respect to time to sense the speed
* An output relay operates whenever rate of input pulses is below/above set rate
* Output relay contacts can be used for safety tripping, visual or audio alarm.
