Soluble in water and difficult to purify, our soda alum is widely used for manufacturing salt. Component solutions is mixed in the cold, and evaporated at a temperature upto 60 C. The 100 parts of water can dissolve 110 parts of sodium alum at 0 C, and 51 parts at 16 C.
