Key Features
It Is called 15 cm extensiometer. It is made of gun metal and comprises of an accurate hinged ring with stainless steel set screws held rightly by a spring. The extension is on a dial gauge. It Is suitable for 15 cm x 30 cm cylindrical test moulds.
IT has a control bar fixed on both ends of the extension rod with screws. When the test specimen has been held by the stainless set screws the control bar is released and the instrument Is in operation. The extension is read, while the test specimen is under compression test, on the dial gauge, which is fixed to the extensometer. The dial indicator which reads to 0.0005 INCH or .01 mm gauge shows the average extension on the sides of the specimen.
