INTRODUCTION:
Simplex Jib cranes are mostly used for fixed area of loding and unloading purpose. In absent of such an equipment, the vast amount of manpower needed to load and unload cargo would raise cost of such operation to almost prohibitive level It will reduce the manpower to load & unload the material.

Construction
Following are some of the Salient Features of "Simplex" Jib Crane :

Pillar
The pillar is fabricated from cold rolled and welded tubular steel section, which has an excellent strength and rigidity properties. The stiffened base plate so designed that will absorb the vibration in the column while the arm is in rotation, adequate number of foundation bolt holes are provided to bear tensile and shear loads.

Jib Arm
The arm is either truss type fabricated with I a Beam / OR Box type section designed in accordance to IS : 807, it is not only designed for strength and deflection but account is also taken for the natural time of vibration damping, this will avoid the vibration in jib arm and other crane components for a prolong period thereby ensuring increased life of the equipment.
