Insulation Paper Cuffing Machine

This machine is designed to produce slot liners for electric motors and alternators with adjustable cuffs at both ends. The input to the machine is the developed width of the paper, which is equal to the core length 4 times the cuff height required. The machine produces cuffs on both sides and then rolls the cuffed insulation paper on another bobbin for storage. The liners can be manually cut by a small photograph shearing machine into the desired lengths. There is no PLC or need for compressed air, and the input power is 3 phase 440V supply to the 1HP electric motor with variable frequency drive. The machine can be stopped after the pre-set length to be cuffed is completed.

The cuffing operation is done by passing the paper through specially designed formers and creased by passing the cuffed paper through a pair of rubberized rollers. After cuffing operation, the paper is re-rolled onto a separate storage bobbin. There is a provision for lifting of rolled insulation roll and placing new roll at loading station. Dimensions of folding width, paper width and roller tension is adjustable. Roll feeding of 1 meter maximum width can be accommodated.
