Uses : Graniset (Granisetron) works by inhibiting the action of certain substances (such as serotonin) in the body which are responsible for nausea and vomiting. Its action is similar to that of the chemical known as Ondansetron. Patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy are often prescribed this drug to prevent vomiting and nausea.

Dosage and Administration:-
Graniset (Granisetron) comes in the form of tablets. Patients taking this to prevent nausea caused by chemotherapy are normally told to take it 1 hour prior to the commencement of chemotherapy. In some cases, it may be necessary to take a second dose 12 hours after the first one. Prevention of nausea from radiation therapy may also require a dose 1 hour prior to treatment. The active ingredient of this medication may also be available as a patch. However, your physician may determine that tablets are more suitable for you.
