Eukroma cream is also used to treat melasma, which are patches of dark skin discoloration that appear on areas of the face and are caused by exposure to the sun, pregnancy and contraceptive hormones.
How does Eukroma work?

Eukroma cream contains hydroquinone a chemical that Inhibits tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in the production of melanin, which is the pigment that gives colour to the skin. Hydroquinone in Eukroma cream works by decreasing the production of melanin pigment in the melanocytes (melanin producing cells) of the skin; as well as increasing the breakdown of melanosomes that contain the melanin. As the amount of melanin produced decreases the darkened skin gradually lightens to match normal skin colour.
