PROTOCONTROL export, manufacture & supply Belt Sway Switch Series from Pune, Maharashtra, India. BS to stop the conveyor belt & to indicate the fault when the conveyor belt sways beyond limit. The switch allows smooth running of the conveyor & protects it from damages by over swaying. Over swaying can occur due to uneven loading of material, worn out idler roller bearings etc.
The switch is housed in dust & weatherproof cast aluminum enclosure with IP 65 grade of protection. Special corrosion free DMC enclosure is also developed for use in seashore, saline atmosphere. The contact roller is supported on polymer plastic bearings (delrin) having high retentively of lubricants & the lowest coefficient of friction. This assures smooth operation of the roller over a long period of time. Switch mechanism is of self reset type. The enclosure is epoxy painted to withstand harsh climate.
Belt sway switches are to be mounted along the sides of the conveyor belt. Ideal gap between two switches is 30 Meters. Small clearance is kept between roller and belt edge to allow belt for some sway. When the belt sways it torches the roller and switch is actuated. The contacts are wired in interlocking circuit to trip the conveyor. The switch is normal action spring return type.
Special models with separate terminal box, Indicating lamp, acrylic cover are also developed for better protection against entry of dust & water.
