DMC/SMC Resin is an orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin manufactured by Samrat Poly Resins at Doraha, Ludhiana, Punjab, formulated for Dough Moulding Compound (DMC) and Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) production.
Typical applications: DMC and SMC moulding compounds, electrical housings and manhole covers, automotive panels and transportation components, water tanks and sanitaryware.
Published properties: Appearance: pale yellow. Viscosity: 600 cPs at 25 C. Gel time: 12 to 18 minutes at 25 C. Specific gravity: 1.12. Styrene content: 35%. Supplied non-accelerated as a liquid.
