Q. Is production of raw rice and parboiled rice follows same process?
Answer
Production of raw rice is different from that of parboiled rice. Raw rice doesn’t undergo the steaming process whereas the paddy grains used for processing parboiled rice pass through the steaming process before after de-husking and before polishing.
