Raw White Rice

• Rice is predominantly made up of carbohydrates, which account for over 80 percent of its entire dry weight.
• White rice is mostly composed of carbohydrates and a small amount of protein, with little fat or sugar.
• Starch makes up most of the rice's carbohydrate content. The most prevalent carbohydrate in foods is starch.
• The bran, or seed coat, contains most of the fiber, making it fibrous for the body. But this may be removed during the processing of white raw rice.
