VISTA POLYCARBOXYLATE (VPC) is a High Range Water Reducing concrete Admixture (HRWRA) based on Poly Carboxyl Polyether Polymer molecules. It is an innovative Polymer designed according to a specific balance between electrical charges, side chains, length of main backbone new functional monomers and molecule geometry. This nano technology is the fruit of experience built over several decades in the design of Polymers in the nano-metric scales and the Phenomena occurring between super plasticisers and the cement surface. The inherent draw back of rapid slump loss in a super plasticised concrete using SNF (Sulfonated Naphthalene Formaldehyde) or SMF (Sulfonated Melamine Formaldehyde) based product has been arrested to a great degree and VCP plasticised concrete can retain slump for 3 to 4 hours at ambient temperature at water cement ratio of 0.3 or less without any set delay and with high strength development both in initial and final stages of hardened concrete.
