Single Phase Cycloconverter
This kit consists of a power circuit and a firing circuit for demonstration of a single phase cyclo converter.
POWER CIRCUIT:
This unit consists of 4 SCRs to be interconnected as center tap transformer type cyclo converter power circuit. Each device is mounted on a heat sink and protected by snubber circuit, fuse and circuit breaker. Voltmeter and ammeter is provided to read voltage and current values. This unit can be used with R, RL and motor load. The connections are brought out to front panel via terminals.
The entire setup is enclosed in a poweder coated MS box.
FIRING CIRCUIT:
This unit generates 4 synchronized firing pulses to trigger SCRs connected in center tap transformer and bridge type cyclo converter configuration. Frequency division from 1 to 10 is is provided and the firing angle can be varied between 180 and 0 degree by using the potentiometer. Test points are provided to study logic circuit. Works on 230V mains and is enclosed in a powder coated MS box.
On request the power circuit and firing circuit can be provided in a single kit as well for certain specifications.
