PERFORMANCE TEST OF PUMPS IN SERIES AND PARALLEL

PUMP : Two Centrifugal pump of 2 h.p capacity, size 40 mm x 40 mm

21 m total head when run at maximum speed[Make-Kirloskar].

MOTOR : 2 HP, 2880Rpm, three phase, 415 volts, AC Supply.

ELECTRICAL PANEL : Switch, starter and energy meter for the measurement of

input power. Two pressure gauge and two vacuum gauge for

pressure measurement purpose.

SUMP TANK : M.S Unit with FRP lining suitable size to store sufficient

water for independent circulation through the unit.

MEASURING TANK : M.S Unit with FRP lining suitable size provided with

standard fittings for measuring discharge of water.

STOP WATCH : Digital.

OTHERS : Piping system consisting of pipes, pressure relief valve,

gate valve and fitting with pressure gauge. Rigid m.s.Frame

work compactly fitted with all the above items as self

sufficient package unit, suitable for operation without any

foundation.
