Step 1: Assembling the candles
1. Wash the glass jar you are going to use for the candles. The glasses for scented candles should be heat resistant as hot wax needs to be poured into it.
2. Dry the jar completely by preheating in an oven.
3. Arrange the pre-made candle wick in the jar. You may keep the metal collar as it does not allow the flame to heat the bottom of the jar. It is better to use pre-waxed wicks. Place some heated wax at the bottom of the jar and place the wick immediately over it.
4. Lay two chopsticks across the top of the jar and fix the wick to it. This is for the wick to remain upright.
