Phenolic Antioxidant

PS3000 or Phenolic Antioxidant is an effective lubricant antioxidant and can be used for a myriad of applications as mentioned below.

Transformer Oils- PS3000 displays efficient performance for prolonged use of transformer oils and is ideal for application to renowned transformer oils. A completely hindered phenol, PS3000 exhibits excellent dielectric properties and offers no change to the electric properties of oils after both are mixed for utilization. It prevent sludge and averts peroxide formation as well as stops degradation of cloth insulation and metallic gears of transformer. Highly oil soluble, PS3000 offers superior performance with transformer ouls and remains in oil all the way through processing and service period. This can be used with the transformer oils at 0.1 to 0.3 % w/w.

Lubricating Oils PS3000 displays amazing performance results with lubricating oils (Refer to the test data sheet attached). When added to the lubricating oils in the quantity between 0.1 to 1.0 % w/w, PS3000 stops the formation of acids as well as corrosive degradation products that results in corrosion in metal gears of industrial or automotive machinery. When compared to the contemporary DBPC/BHT, PS3000 has the working temperature if up to 200C. PS3000 offer exemplary antioxidant performance in oils such as hydraulic oils, turbine oils, quenching oils, thermic fluids, spindle oils, engine oils, automatic transmission fluids, etc.

Gasolines- Gasoline comprises of several undesirable constituents that can result in oxidation changes in the resulting formation of gums and colour impairing machines. Adding minimum amount of PS3000 can greatly reduce the oxidation process and show significant results. The main advantage of PS3000 is that it sustains the octane rating level in Gasoline with which the deposits in intake manifolds is minimized to a significant level and cleanliness of machinery is ensured. Efficiently reducing gum formation and deposit appearance in induction & power systems, PS3000 should be added soon after distillation in order to ensure there is no peroxide formation. PS3000 can be mixed prior to caustic and alkali wash as it is insoluble with water and alkali and does not cause any hindrance afterward. As per the type of stock, 20-25 miligrams per litre of Gasoline can be added.
