Ashless Dispersant

Introduction

What is PS9999- Dispersants are substances used in a liquid to prevent settling of particles dispersed in a liquid and contains a hydrocarbon attached to amine containing polar group. The hydrocarbon part of the dispersant solubilises the lubricant base stock whereas the polar group part draws the contaminants, which is a product of lubes breakdown. Likewise, dispersants create hundreds of small structures within lubricant base stock consisting of highly polar core and numerous polar contaminants. Contaminants are a result of oxidation which in turn originates varnish, carbon and sludge formation and the varnish/carbon/sludge deposits that were already there. The dispersed contaminants are placed in esolutiona in basestock whereas the previously formed deposits are cleared from the metal and elastomer surfaces. The suspended originators and deposits pass through common filters. As a result, when the cores are saturated, dispersant is not able to pick the contaminants and the oil is therefore drained. In order to avoid any damage to the lube oil systems, the oil should be drained well before this stage.

Performance: Dispersants are highly beneficial in providing secondary advantages in corrosion and rust protection and are able to emulsify water. Due to their surfactancy, dispersants gets easily attracted to metal surfaces and thereby offer high measure of protection against rust and corrosion to be formed on the surface of metals. PS9999 is known to work supremely well with other anti-rust and anti-corrosion additives in formulation of automotive & industrial oils and greases.
