The illustrated has bath has been designed mainly for students experiments with smooth muscle etc. it is however quite suitable for general use. The water container of the bath consists of a bottomless screw cap jar of app. 4 liters capacity fitted into a threaded metal stand in which is also located a wire wound heater to maintain the water temperature. A glass inner vessel passes through the stand and is insulated so that the fluid can be quickly run run o out. Depending ing in in the vessel is a platinum-tipped oxygen tube which is firmly held by means of screw clamp fixed to one of the stand uprights. Overall height of bath 15 cm.
