This Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS 18001) Standard and the Guidelines for Implementation of OHSAS 18001, have been developed in response to customer demand for a recognizable occupational health and safety management system standard against which it has to be assessed.
OHSAS 18001 is developed to be compatible with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standard. This standard is now having more importance of a Healtha . This standard functions on a Plan-Do-Check-Acta principle.
OHSAS 18001 is an international standard giving requirements related to health and safety management systems. It enables an organization to have control over, and knowledge of all relevant hazards resulting from normal operations and abnormal situations and improve its performance.
