NFD DYE FIXING AGENT

NFD DYE FIXING AGENT is a non-formaldehyde dye-fixing agent, spcifically developed to improve the wet fastness properties of dyeings and prints produced with direct and reactive dyes on cotton, woven / knitted fabrics, NFD DYE FIXING AGENT is a powerful dye fixing agent, developed as a substitute for conventional dicyandiamide-formaldehyde based product primarily with a view to help exporters to meet the stringent regulations of European Countries (EC) and other countries on free formaldehyde in apparels and other household textiles.

Wet fastness and perspiration fastness properties of dyeings and prints on cellulosics fabrics are greatly improved by an after treatment with NFD DYE FIXING AGENT. It also helps to minimise bleeding of reactive dyeings and prints. It is largely stale to electrolytes and does not impair the light fastness of dyeings and prints. It causes negligible effluent pollution, owing to its high affinity for the dye.

APPLICATIONS

NFD DYE FIXING AGENT must always be used as an after-treatment and never be added directly to the dyebath. Care should be taken to ensure that the dyeings are well rinsed and are free from salts and alkali. The dosage depends on depth of shade being dyed / printed. We recommend the following for exhaust process.

For light shades: (<1 %) - 0.3 - 0.4% (o.w.f.)

For medium and deep shades: (>1%)-3-4% (o.w.f)

For after treatment in an open width machine, we recommend 2-3 gpl NFD DYE FIXING AGENT.

The quantities given above are for reactive dyeings and prints. For direct dyeings / prints, use 50 - 60% more NFD DYE FIXING AGENT.
