NTPWS acts as a good retention agent for fillers and color pigments, thus increasing the opacity.
NTPWS also acts as an adhesion control agent on the Yankee cylinder in the manufacture of tissue paper.
NTPWS is effective at pH 4-8. Optimum wet strength is obtained in a neutral or slightly alkaline medium
