MOISTURIZING AGENT
MOISTURIZING AGENT is a versatile non-cresylic mercerizing wetting agent to improve the mercerizing efficiency of cotton yarn, fabric and their blends with polyester fibres, thereby imparting improved lustre, better moisture absorption, and dye,ability to the goods being mercerized.
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Physical Appearance: Light yellowish red clear liquid
- Ionic Nature: Anionic
- pH of 1 % solution: 7 to 8
- Miscibility: Miscibile with caustic soda solution of all concentrations
- Stability: Stable in alkaline media
APPLICATIONS
- MOISTURIZING AGENT is a very good anionic wetting agent, stable to higher concentrations of sodium hydroxide solutions, used in mercerizing cotton fabrics.
- MOISTURIZING AGENT is of non-cresylic type, is not corrosive and hence easy to handle. Mercerizing solutions containing MOISTURIZING AGENT can be used in pad-chain or padless chainless mercerizing machines.
- 5 -10 gpl of MOISTURIZING AGENT may be added to sodium hydroxide solutions (540 Tw) used to mercerize cotton yarn or fabric.
- MOISTURIZING AGENT promotes rapid absorption and penetration of concentrated sodium hydroxide solutions even into heavily sized grey fabrics.
