LEVELING AGENT
LEVELING AGENT is a retarding agent for use in dyeing cellulosic fibre fabrics with vat, sulphur or direct dyes.
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Physical Appearance: Clear liquid
- Ionic Nature: Nonionic
- Compatibility: Compatible with anionic, cationic and non ionic products and with alkalies.
- Stability: Good when stored in a cool place
- Miscibility: Miscible with water in all proportions
Applications
- LEVELING AGENT works as a very good levelling agent while dyeing in sub-class of vat dyes on cotton and other cellulosic fibre fabrics. Since the levelling agent forms a loose complex with the sodium salt of leuco vat dyes, excessive amounts of the levelling agent should not be used in the dyebath, other wise it may lead to slight loss of colour value.
- Depending on the depth of shade being dyed, 0.2 - 0.5 g/I of LEVELING AGENT may be used in the dye-bath, while dyeing sulphur dyes.
- LEVELING AGENT (0.2 - 0.5 gpl) may also be added to the direct dyes dye-baths to get even shades on cotton and other cellulosic fibre fabrics.
