Hardness Tester

The Indentation Hardness Tester (Foam / Sponge) consists of a circular steel indentor that can be pressed against the test specimen kept on a flat horizontal surface at aspecified speed with arrangement to measure the load being applied by the indentor on the test specimen. The total sequence of operations in accordance with various international standards can be conducted. The indentor is in shape of a circular disc is pressed parallel to the surface of the test specimen. It is mounted at the lower end of a screw, which can be raised or lowered at a specified speed with the help of a variable speed drive and worm reduction gearbox. An arrangement to automatically stop the motor at the extreme ends of travels of the indentor is provided. A test console to indicate load is provided with the equipment.
