In the making of tubes, following steps are followed: Leveling & slitting Coil & welding Roll & gauge forming Post annealing Water cooling Sizing Flying cutting Straightening End facing Weighing & measuring Marking & coating In the meanwhile, the tubes in process are inspected and subjected to ultrasonic inspection of uncoiled strip edge, ultrasonic inspection, rotary ultrasonic inspection, hydro static inspection, visual and dimensional inspection.
