Standard Features:

  • Over Speed Protection can be accomplished by the Over Speed Governor which is a mechanical system which comes in action in case of rise in the travelling speed of the cabin due to any following reasons: -
    • In case of brake failure.
    • In case of motor failure.
    • In case of gear box failure.
    • And even in case of wire rope breaks.
    • In any of the above mention accident, lift will never free fell, because mechanical break holds the Guide T and it will be stopped or slowly slide so that passenger or material will be safe in any circumstances.
  • Emergency Alarm can be raised in emergency or power failure condition.
  • VVVF (variable voltage variable frequency) drive control the motor by frequency regulation. Drive provides various safety and features to the system.
  • Light in the cabin automatically on and off, when the lift starts and stop, also can be controlled manually. Light even work in case of power failure because of back system. So it also works as emergency light
  • Light Curtain open the doors automatically when any passenger comes between them.
  • Floor Announcement announces floor position, gate status, and greet with customised message.
  • Music on travel gives a pleasant atmosphere during the ride.
  • Push to Talk help passenger to transmit the message in emergency for assistance.
  • Attendant Service / Non-Attendant Service.
  • MFFS Stands for magnet floor and final (upper & lower limit) sensing. Replacement of limit switch (old and traditional technology). Though it senses without physical contact, life of the sensor is much more than the limit switch. Also accuracy of the same is unmatched.
  • Buffer is provided in the pit to cure the cabin / passenger / material inside the cabin from the damage. It gives spring action to the free fall cabin. Selection of the buffer depends upon the cabin size, capacity, speed, travelling height of the elevator.

Elevator Can Be Designed In Two Ways: -
  • Elevator With Machine Room
  • Elevator With Out Machine Room
Elevator With Machine Room: Machine and control panel are fixed in a machine room which is constructed on top of the elevator shaft. In machine room we can use two different method:
1. Geared Traction.
2. Permanent magnet motors (PM Motors).
Elevator Without Machine Room / Machine Room Less / Mrl: Machine and panel are fixed inside elevator shaft. Thus, save construction area and properly utilize the elevator shaft and space. MRL elevator is the result of technological evaluation.
In the past few years the elevator manufacturers have crossed the barriers to accept the MRL product. Many elevator manufacturers are now making their versions of the MRL, and have introduced various another type of machine room less applications. These days with the help of technical diversification geared machines are also used rather than gearless machines only. In MRL we use four methods:
1. Geared Traction.
2. Permanent magnet motors (PM Motors).
3. Hydraulic Hole Type
4. Hydraulic Hole Less Type
Geared Traction Elevators have been used in mid-rise, moderate-use buildings of up to 30 stories and typically operate at speeds of 0.5 m/sec to 2m/s. Geared traction elevators achieve their vertical motion from a Geared traction machine. In this machine AC electric motor is directly coupled to a worm which transmit the motion to the pulley (sheave) through worm gear. Sheave moves the wire rope in too &fro motion whos both the ends were tie with cabin and counter weight. As machine cum in action cabin start moving in either up or down direction as commanded, respectively counterweight moves in the opposite direction.
Advantages:
  • Moderate cost
  • Perfect solution for heavy load use.
  • Easy to use and maintain.
Permanent magnet motors (PM Motors) are widely use in Machine-room-less (MRL) elevator. They are basically used for high speed and high-rise buildings. The said machine breaks the speed barrier of 12mtr /sec. PM Machine is equipped with Permanent magnets to produce torque instead of gear box used in traditional traction machine. In this mechanism motor is directly couple to sheave, Sheave moves the wire rope in too &fro motion whos both the ends were tie with cabin and counter weight. As machine cum in action cabin start moving in either up or down direction as commanded, respectively counterweight moves in the opposite direction.

  • Easy to use and maintain.
  • Creates more usable space
  • Use less energy.
  • Uses no oil
  • It can operate at faster speed.
Hydraulic Type: Hydraulic is the most robust technology in the elevator industry. It works in such a manner when oil push in the cylinder with the help of power pack piston moves up which rise the cabin. On another side by just releasing the wall oil from the cylinder come back in the power pack which lower down the cabin. Benefits of Hydraulic Elevator:
  • No Over Head: Top of the shaft is closed just 2 feet of extra cabin height, which saves cost in construction.
  • No Over Head Machine Required Security & Privacy: All the system is installed on initial level, so maintenance people wont move up.
  • Less Running Cost: hydraulic system consumes energy only in moving up direction. So, comparing other systems running cost of the hydraulic is half.
  • Cost Saving.
Doesnt require heavy structure (column, beam, pillar) because machine is not installed on the top.
No over Head & Machine required means huge cost saving in construction and exterior designing.
Though panel install on initial level instead of top floor or in the machine room wiring expense for 3-phase and earthing connection will save.
Even though hydraulic system is bit expensive comparing to Geared / Gearless / Drum overall cost would be lesser considering all above points.
Hydraulic system is further classified in two categories:
1. Hole Type
2. Hole Less Type

Hole Type: In this system a hole is drilled in the pit of the shaft where cylinder is to be install. Advantage of the system is: -
  • Heavy load capacity.
  • No load on the walls.
Hole Less Type: In this system cylinder installs on the parallel of the wall with the help of the clamps. The system serves:
  • More floors or height.
  • More speed.
  • Less capacity
  • Less maintenance
