Hall Effect Setup

Hall Effect Setup is used for performing hall effect experiment. It has all the components needed for measurement and control. A gallium arsenide semiconductor is provided as a sample hall element.

Sepcifications:
the Hall Effect Setup consist of following:-
* Electromagnet generating a field of 2 Kgauss in an air gap of 5 mm. The air gap is continuously variable from 0 to 20 mm with one way sliding pole adjustment. The Electromagnet has two energising coils.
* Magnet Power Supply to power the electromagnet is a constant current source with current variable from 0 to 750 ma at 12 VDC. The current stability is 0.l % and a panel meter is provided fro indication of magnet current. Current reversing switch is provided on the front panel to reverse the direction of the current and hence the magnetic field.
* Millivoltmeter is provided for measurement of hall output voltage, has center zero indication. F.S.D of 3-0-3 mV, 10-0-10 mV & 30-0-30 mV ranges are provided. Measuring accuracy is 3 %.
* Constant Current Source for hall element supplies constant current from 0 to 5 mA. The current is indicated by panel meter, and has stability of 0.5 % A current reversing switch is provided.
* Gallium Arsenide Semiconductor mounted on PCB with connection lead on connector is provided as hall element.
* Hall effect setup works on 230 VAC, 50 Hz, single phase.
