Founded in 1963 to develop and produce Laboratory Electromagnets and Power Supplies for Colleges and Universities, Polytronic was first commercial firm to manufacture frame Research Electromagnet. Along with Laboratory and Research Magnets Polytronic have designed and manufactured Analyzing Magnets, Steering Magnets and Quadruple Magnets used in particle accelerators. Magnetic Cusp is also developed for Plasma Confinement System. Development of Magnet Charger product line led to design of Polytronic Magnetizing, Demagnetizing and Magnet Treating/Calibrating products. This reliable product line was first adopted for cast magnets. Polytronic than broadened its product offering for ceramic, sintered and rare earth magnets.
