Gmt Planetary Lapping Machines

We offer a wide range of GMT Planetary Lapping Machines to our customers. A wide variety of materials can be lapped. Flatness to one light band (0.0003 mm) on 100 dia. Surface finish to less than 0.2 A AuRA. The advantages of lapping for obtaining fine flatness and surface finish have long been recognized by production and design engineers. Proper finish and flatness can be achieved with any of the 7 standard lapping machines in the GMT range, in bench and floor models.Workpieces to be lapped are placed inside the work carriers. The work carriers are gear cut on the outer diameter and recessed to hold the component inside. Abrasive fluid is fed onto the lap plates continuously. The planetary lapping machines are ideally suited to lap thin, fragile materials like silicon and germanium wafers extensively used in electronic industries. Other materials made of tungsten, ceramics, steel, bronze, carbon, aluminium, cast iron,plastics, stainless steel, satellite, ferrite and alumina can also be lapped on these machines. Parts of different shapes, thickness and materials can be lapped. Because the lap plate continuously maintains its flatness, production is not interrupted. Appropriate diameters of the conditioning rings result in optimum lapping area. Accuracy: One light band to two light band over 75A A component. (i.e. 0.3A Au to 0.6A Au over 75mmA A ).
