Flash Butt welding is a resistance welding process in which 'Flash' is created between two pieces of metals to be welded by passing high current at low voltage. The machine has one stationary platen & other moving platen. Flashing raises the temperature of abutting ends. At appropriate temperature upset force is applied resulting into a good weld. There machines can be applied in welding of Tubular parts, bicycle & moped wheel rinks. Constructional steel upto 32 mm dia Welding of Strip coils in continuous strip, chain links, gear blanks, window & door sections.
